‘Asia-Plus has created a platform for public dialogue and become a bridge between society and the state,’ says public activist

Ms. Shahlo Akobirova, head of the public organization Homa, has described the role of the Asia-Plus Media Group in Tajikistan’s media landscape as both significant and historically important.
In an interview marking the media group’s 30th anniversary, Akobirova said Asia-Plus has helped create a platform for open public discussion, where diverse viewpoints can be expressed, while also serving as a bridge between society and state institutions.
«Perhaps it is the only national media outlet that raises issues at the international level, remains a reliable source of timely news, and is able to provide audiences with the information they need promptly,» Akobirova said.
She also said Asia-Plus should continue expanding its analytical and investigative reporting, describing both as important areas for the outlet’s future development.
