The Presidential Standard, Faces of Mothers and 55 Years of Creativity: A Personal Exhibition of Sabzaali Sharif to be Held in Dushanbe
On September 2 at 10:00 AM at the National Museum of Tajikistan, the exhibition «Modarnoma» («Ode to Mother») opens on the occasion of the 80th birthday of People’s Artist of Tajikistan, laureate of the Rudaki State Prize Sabzaali Murodzhoda Sharif and the 35th anniversary of state independence.
Sabzaali Sharif is an iconic name in Tajik art. It was he who created the official symbols of presidential power — the Standard and the Sign of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. But behind the strict status of a monumental artist lies a subtle researcher of the Tajik soul and history.
The exhibition includes more than 30 key works by the master from the golden collection of the National Museum and his personal archive.
The focus is on the image of woman-mother, the origins of culture, the nature of Tajikistan, and the major milestones in the formation of the nation.
