Democratic win and Trump’s reaction to outcome of midterm Congressional election
Democratic candidates have won control of both the US House of Representatives and the Senate following the midterm elections, according to the early vote count on Wednesday.
Only 35 out of 100 Senate seats and all 435 seats in the House were contested on Tuesday when a gubernatorial election across 36 states was also held.
US President Donald Trump said was «a little surprised» at the GOP’s loss. He also emphasized that he is ready to work with Democrats as he claimed that he would «veto everything.»
