​While observing the Pacific Fleet’s military exercises, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a separate meeting on ensuring the security of the country’s eastern borders.

Participants included Pacific Fleet Commander Viktor Liina, Sakhalin Region FSB Border Guard Service Head Sergey Makhorin, and Defense Ministry’s 68th Guards Army Corps Acting Commander Alexey Shvedov.
