Canadian national team qualifies for FIFA World Cup 1/8 finals

​​The Canadian national team became the first to qualify for the FIFA World Cup round of 16 after defeating South Africa 1-0 in Los Angeles.

Stephen Eustaquio scored the lone goal two minutes into second-half stoppage time.

In the next round, Canada will face the winner of the Netherlands-Morocco match, which takes place on June 29.
