Robotronics and Innovation Technology Days launch in Tajikistan
The Technological University of Tajikistan in Dushanbe hosted the opening ceremony of the Robotronics, Innovative Educational Technologies, and Computer Science Days on November 12. The event, organized by Rossotrudnichestvo and Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev, aims to promote STEM education and foster cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan.
More than 300 schoolchildren and 70 teachers of physics, mathematics, and computer science, along with educators in extracurricular activities from across Tajikistan, are participating in the event.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from Rossotrudnichestvo, the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan, and the leadership of the Technological University of Tajikistan.
In his welcoming speech, Andrei Patrushev, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo’s Tajikistan office, emphasized the significance of such events on the international stage. «Educational and outreach activities focusing on technical and creative skills for students and teachers will take place in four cities across Tajikistan throughout November. Programs for professional development have been prepared for teachers of Russian-language mathematics, physics, and computer science. This is especially important and in high demand in today’s world. I am confident that the participants will enjoy interesting and informative sessions,» Patrushev stated.
Zoir Rahmonzoda, Rector of the Technological University of Tajikistan, highlighted the event’s role in the development of engineering education, promoting science and technology among youth, and strengthening the humanitarian and educational partnership between Russia and Tajikistan. «These days provide an opportunity for students and educators to exchange experiences, present ideas, and demonstrate creativity and technical thinking. I am confident that such events will serve as a powerful catalyst for expanding educational horizons, strengthening scientific ties, and implementing joint projects aimed at developing the intellectual potential of our country and the region,» Rakhmonzoda said.
Sirojiddin Niyazi, Director of the Abdurahmon Jami Institute for Educational Development of the Tajikistan Academy of Education, noted that the event is an important platform for developing creative thinking, scientific curiosity, and the younger generation’s drive for new knowledge. «This is a celebration of science and technology, reflecting the rapid development of the world, where digitalization, robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, and innovation are becoming part of daily life,» he added.
Bahrom Ismoilzoda, Head of the Education Department of Dushanbe, expressed his confidence that the event would strengthen educational cooperation between the capital’s schools and Russian educational institutions. This cooperation, he believes, will create favorable conditions for experience exchange with Russian colleagues and promote the wider adoption of digital technologies.
Alfiya Valisheva, Dean of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering Technologies at Astrakhan State University, highlighted the technical and creative focus of the program, which aims to promote Russian engineering education and identify talented youth for further studies in Russia.
During the opening, reports were presented on the achievements of Russian science, the opportunities offered by technical education in Russia, and the role of exact sciences in the country’s engineering development.
The event will run from November 12 to 21 in four cities across the country: Dushanbe, Tursunzoda, Bokhtar, and Kulob. The program includes educational intensives in robotics, physics, and mathematics for students in grades 5-11, as well as an in-person module for teachers’ professional development. This module will focus on forming and developing competencies necessary for the successful opening, administration, and methodological support of clubs in robotics, mathematics, and physics.
At the conclusion of the event, students will receive participation certificates, and teachers will receive professional development certificates recognized in Russia.
