New 30,000-seat National Stadium opens in Dushanbe
The FIFA-standard facility will host international football matches, major sporting events, and large-scale cultural programs.
A new National Stadium with a capacity of more than 30,000 spectators has been officially opened in Dushanbe. The opening ceremony on August 21 was attended by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustami Emomali, according to the president’s press service.
Built to meet FIFA requirements, the stadium is expected to become one of the country’s main venues for international football matches and major sports competitions.
The sports complex covers 9.5 hectares and features two-tier stands designed for more than 30,000 spectators, including over 12,000 seats on the lower level and about 18,000 on the upper level.
To improve crowd management and safety, the stadium is equipped with 68 electronic turnstiles, while the spectator area is divided into four main sectors to ensure organized entry, prevent congestion, and facilitate emergency evacuation.
The facility includes two large LED screens with an area of 133 square meters each. The lighting system consists of 312 Philips floodlights, allowing matches to be broadcast in HD and 4K formats. The stadium’s sound system includes 88 professional BOSS speakers.
