Somoni loans become more expensive as average rate approaches 24%

​The weighted average interest rate on loans issued in Tajikistan’s national currency rose to 23,83% in the first half of 2026, despite repeated presidential instructions to reduce borrowing costs and extend loan terms for businesses.
