Ten Tajik wrestlers qualify for gushtingiri world championships

A national gushtingiri (Tajik national wrestling) tournament in Khujand, the capital of Sughd province, has determined ten Tajik wrestlers who will compete at the second World Gushtingiri Championships in Dushanbe.
The tournament, held as part of the Cup of Honored Coach Usto Ustopirov, brought together leading adult wrestlers from across Tajikistan and served as a major qualifying event for the world championship.
Gold and silver medalists in five weight categories earned places on the national team.
In the 65kg category, Muhammad Salimov won the tournament and secured a place at the championship. Yosin Bobokalonov had previously qualified in the same division.
Muhammadiso Rajabov and Umar Sherov qualified in the 71kg category.
In the 78kg division, Mirzojamil Ramazonov won gold, while Muhammadsharif Najmiddinov had secured the second national quota earlier.
Sayfiddin Sayfiddinzoda and Hamroz Rajabov qualified in the 86kg category.
Komronshoh Ustopiriyon and Akmal Murodov earned places in the 95kg division, while Sharif Nazriyev and Shakarmamad Mirmamadov qualified in the over-95kg category.
