Turkish Airlines to launch daily flights between Dushanbe and Istanbul

Turkish Airlines to launch daily flights between Dushanbe and Istanbul
Turkish Airlines will increase the frequency of its flights between Dushanbe and Istanbul to seven per week, introducing daily service between tajikistan’s capital and Istanbul starting August 3.
The announcement was made by Turkish Ambassador to Tajikistan Umut Acar on his Facebook page.
«In its 20th year of operations in Tajikistan, Turkish Airlines is increasing the number of Istanbul–Dushanbe flights to seven days a week. Starting from August 3, daily Dushanbe–Istanbul flights will be available, further strengthening transport connectivity between Turkiye and Tajikistan,» the ambassador wrote.
The expansion follows Tajikistan’s adoption of an «Open Skies» policy at the country’s international airports in June 2025. The policy removed restrictions on flight frequencies, seat capacity, aircraft size, and airfares, paving the way for increased competition and expanded international air services.
Turkish Airlines was the first foreign carrier to announce additional flights after the policy came into effect. In 2025, the airline increased its Istanbul–Dushanbe service from three to five flights per week by adding Tuesday and Saturday departures.
With the latest expansion, the route will now operate daily.
Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Turkiye, is one of the world’s largest airlines by international destination coverage. As of June 2024, the carrier operated scheduled passenger and cargo services to 352 destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.
The airline flies to 131 countries — more than any other carrier worldwide — and serves more international destinations nonstop from a single airport than any other airline. Its cargo division, Turkish Cargo, operates flights to 82 destinations, while its low-cost subsidiary, AJet, serves regional and international routes.
Turkish Airlines is headquartered in Istanbul and has been a member of the Star Alliance network since 2008.
