Tajikistan presents its mineral potential in Astana
The Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sherali Kabir, spoke at the C5+1 dialogue on critical minerals in Astana.
As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, the minister presented the country’s investment and industrial potential in the fields of green energy, rare earth metals extraction, and artificial intelligence.
At the beginning of his speech, Sherali Kabir expressed gratitude to the government of Kazakhstan for organizing the dialogue and wished the participants fruitful discussions. He noted that the event opens up broad opportunities for establishing partnerships and developing the critical minerals industry.
It should be noted that on the sidelines of the meeting, there was also a meeting between Sherali Kabir and the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of critical minerals within the framework of the C5+1 dialogue in Astana.
The minister emphasized that the topic of critical mineral resources is of strategic importance for achieving the goals of accelerated industrialization of the country and transitioning to a «green» economy. He also noted the importance of developing international cooperation in this area.
