Members of organized gang linked to 11 Serious Crimes, including murder, detained in Dushanbe

Members of organized gang linked to 11 Serious Crimes, including murder, detained in Dushanbe
Police in Dushanbe have detained four members of an organized criminal group responsible for a series of serious and particularly grave offenses committed since 2024 in the capital, as well as in Vahdat, Hisor, Vakhsh and Roudaki districts.
According to the Dushanbe police department, the gang consisted of six individuals. Four suspects were arrested, while two others remain on the international wanted list. Investigators say the group was armed with firearms and knives, operated mostly at night, and carefully prepared for each attack, assigning roles in advance. All detainees had previous criminal records, some of them multiple.
The alleged leader of the group, Farhod Musoyev, a 1978‑born native of Dushanbe previously convicted for drug distribution, reportedly supplied the gang with weapons, selected targets, and directed operations.
The detained suspects include:
·         Irshod Azizov (Bokhtar, born 1983), previously convicted five times;
·         Ayomiddin Rahmiddinzoda (born 1990), convicted of hooliganism;
·         Firdavs Qurbonov (born 1981), previously imprisoned in Russia.
Two other members — Najibullo Isroilov (35) and Suhrob Mamatov (33) — are wanted internationally.

A series of violent crimes
Investigators have linked the group to at least 11 crimes committed since September 2024, including one murder, four armed robberies, and six large‑scale thefts.
One of the cases involved two separate attacks on the home of Vali Dodaliyev in Vakhsh district. In the first incident, the criminals beat him and stole money; in the second, they returned, robbed him again, and injured him.
Another victim, 72‑year‑old Olimjon Yaqubov, died in hospital a week after being beaten and robbed of 220,000 somonis.
In Hisor, the group allegedly broke into the home of a resident, assaulted him, and stole his money.
Police also linked the group to the killing of 51‑year‑old Mahmadali Hayotov in Vahdat. When the homeowner discovered the intruders, they brutally beat him and stabbed him to death.
One of the suspects, Ayomiddin Rahmiddinzoda, recounted details of the murder in a police video: «I took a knife, opened the window and we entered the house. We were about to leave when we heard a noise. The owner came in… he attacked us, and I stabbed him. Then Suhrob Mamatov knocked him down, demanded to know where the money was, and began stabbing him. We fled.»
The gang’s latest attempted crime occurred on December 8, 2025, in Dushanbe’s Sino district, where they entered the home of Mirzosharif Mirzosharifov, but fled when the owner returned.
The suspects are in custody and face charges under four articles of Tajikistan’s Penal Code: Article 104 — murder; Article 195 — illegal possession of weapons; Article 249 — robbery; and Article 244 — theft. The investigation is under way.
